Thurø Østerskov and Thurø Rev are located at the southern end of Thurø. From the car park at Østerskovvej 14, paths lead through the protected forest to the coast and reef. From here, you can follow the coastline towards Smørmosen Strand. The area offers opportunities for walking, swimming and birdwatching.

Thurø Østerskov lies on a flat to gently rolling moraine surface with clay-rich soil, which can make the paths muddy during wet periods. Along the coast, marine erosion has created a cliff around 850 metres long and up to 5.5 metres high, exposing different geological layers.

Thurø Rev is an angular foreland formed over time by sand and stones carried by coastal currents. Behind the beach ridges is a mosaic of grassland, salt meadows, small coastal pools and tidal channels. The area is part of Geopark The South Fyn Archipelago and illustrates how both ice and the sea have shaped the landscape.
